Sources to Trust

Fish and Wildlife is a very credible source for many reasons, one reason being they are a government ran website, and they set all of the laws and regulations. They set rules such as, "Beginning with the 2015-2016 season EVERY purchaser of a deer tag(s) must report their harvest, even if they were unsuccessful, or if they did not hunt."

Sonoma Coast Divers is also a very good source to follow they not only tell you everything you need to know about about diving they will also teach you how to dive. For example, "The gauge and iron are essential to the abalone diver. California Regulation state that every diver must at minimum have a 7" gauge on their person." Now for someone who has never dove before they would need to go through and read all of the regulations.

Now Top 59 Hunting is a little different from the other sites because it has many different credible sources in the source so you can almost always find what you're looking for within the website. For example if you wanted to look at a something for hunting gear you would go to on of the clothing stores like Bone Collector.

Hunting and Diving

I chose to be writing about hunting and diving because I love to do it. I grew up in Humboldt with countless things to hunt. My dad, brother, and I all hunt together. I started hunting at a very young age. Starting young I grew the passion to continue to do it and enjoy just being outdoors. I first started hunting when I was about five years old shooting birds and squirrels in our back yard, ever since then I just want to always be outdoors doing something. Ever since I was shooting little animals in my back yard I have wanted to go bigger and bigger. When I turned nine years old I got my first shot gun. After getting the shot gun my dad took me duck hunting, while there I shot my first duck which was a mallard. From then on I started slowly progressing to bigger animals and when I went to Canada and was my dad guiding people to hunt elk I wanted to start shooting deer. From then on I've stuck to duck hunting and deer hunting until a couple of years ago when I started diving for abalone. That is a whole different experience from hunting, while diving it makes you feel very small compared to everything else and that is where I got my passion

My blog will consist of mostly hunting for mid sized game such as deer and some waterfowl. Here in Humboldt there is mostly only black tail deer. For waterfowl there is thousands of different types of birds such as mallards, teal, sprig, etc. The diving portion will be about abalone and some spear fishing in the pacific ocean.

From my blog I would like to show people the great wonders of the outdoors and the many opportunities it has for you.
